Lux Aeterna was written soon after the outrage of the attack on the world trade center and is dedicated to the memory of the victims of 9-11. The text is from the traditional requiem mass and is set for a chorus of SSATB. It was written for the University singers at the University of Virginia. They took the work on tour on the East Coast and when they reached New York a group from the chorus sang the Lux Aeterna at Ground Zero.
