Walter Ross~ Flute Quartet No. 3 |

My third flute quartet was written in memory of Donald Lentz who played piccolo in Sousa's band. He was my instructor in instrumentation and orchestration. He was an inspiring person who taught a course he invented in the history of dissonance which was, perhaps, the most useful course for me, as a composer, that I ever took.
