Sophie Charlotte, 1744-1818, Queen of Great Britain, Consort of George III, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz: 444 letters to her brother, Grand Duke Charles II of Mecklenburg- Strelitz (1741-1816). Altogether there are 464 letters of Sophie Charlotte in the Mecklenburg State Archives (Information from Dr. Baudis, of April 13, 1994).

The letters of her brother Charles to Sophie Charlotte were in all probability destroyed after her death, by order of her surviving daughters. (Information from the Royal Archives, Windsor Castle, on May 23, 1994.)
