Life's hardest lesson
	Learned
	Is that Life's hard.
	Love isn't always sweet.
	Things take
	Unexpected turns.
	You can't
	Always have what
	You want--
	Indeed, you
	Rarely even know
	What you want,
	Let alone
	Find it.
	Life's filled
	With snares,
	Subtle,
	Like the hairs
	In pitcher plants
	That trap
	The ants
	Unawares.
	Cry all the tears
	You want:
	Life doesn't care.
	You still lose
	Your hair,
	Grow fat,
	Feel aches and pains
	No callow youth
	Ever knows.
