Uniqueness of Global Solutions for the Wave Equation with Supercritical Boundary Sources and Boundary Damping

Abstract : This talk will briefly survey the results we have obtained so far for (local and global) existence, uniqueness and blow-up of solutions to wave equations with supercritical boundary sources and damping. A special emphasis will be on the proof of a very recent and completely new uniqueness of global solutions result, obtained in the case when the damping is only assumed to be monotone. All the previous results on uniqueness available in the literature deal with the case of damping satisfying strong monotonicity assumptions.
