| Abstract: A computer assisted method to determine the spectral radius of the traction double layer potential operator associated with the Lamé system on the Lebesgue space of p-integrable functions on an infinite sector in two dimensions is presented. Whenever p belongs to the interval [2,8], we pin the spectral radius within .0001 from a certain explicit formula, and relate this to the spectral radius conjecture. |
