Troy, Kentucky, is located southeast of Lexington at the intersection of County Rd 1267 and State Road 33. The town was probably named for the town in New York. A post office operated in Troy 1859 to 1909 according to the Kentucky Atlas. The store seen in this photo is not open for business. Residences are located on the other corners of this intersection. Bob's car can be seen to the left in the above picture.
The Troy (KY) Presbyterian Church is located just down Rt 33 from the above intersection. The church grounds are well cared for and the church seems to be well supported.
